don't let your screens sit in the sun

so i got some stickers a while back and was all ready to stock up for the weekend, but when i went to clean my screen (screenprinting) the shit was baked on there...
so a note...dont leave your screens in the sun.

i figured i would just run a few threw the computer printer to have enough for the weekend...
i know, i know...its a cheap alternative, but yeah...whatever.

also painted this the other day...still need to do some touch ups and whatnot, but keep your eyes open for it.

warehouse party

i know its late notice, but here is where we will be for part of the long weekend...

"Bandana" defined: A kerchief (from the French couvre-chef, "cover the head") is a triangular or square piece of cloth tied around the head or around the neck for protective or decorative purposes.
The bandana has been used by artists worldwide to conceal their identities. When worn over the mouth and nose, bandannas are also used to lessen inhalation of fumes so we thought it would be a good idea for a show.
Not to mention the fact that a bandana makes a perfect small canvas that can be folded up and mailed easily.
With all of the cameras spying on most of our daily lives these days the show seems like a small way to make a statement to the man as well.
Images from the punk era come to mind like The Clash rockin' bandanas in the Rock the Casbah video.
The bandana was originally used by banditos and bank robbers in the Old West.
Bandanas are also worn around the neck by cowboys, farmers, bakers, and railroad engineers to wipe the sweat off their faces, and keep dust out of their collars.
Anarchists and political activists have been known to wear black bandanas and hoodies to keep their faces from being photographed.

Of course we all know about the whole Bloods vs. Crips thing which this show is to have nothing do with.
In certain cities non-violent bicycle clubs may wear black and white bandanas to show their association.
We are calling the show "A.K.A" (Also Known As) since many artists go under aliases.

Give Up vs. YAR!

So, we hit up Domy's last weekend for the Give Up vs. YAR! show. These guys are absolutly killing the streets of Houston right now, so its really cool to see a collabo show. The pictures don't really do the show justice, but once again...you get the idea.

Bask & Tes One @ The Public Trust//Electroshock @ F6

So, we figured it was time for a road trip, and what better time...two shows in the Dallas area the same night.
We didn't get shots of all the art, and some images came out a bit blurry, but hey...you get the point.
First we hit up The Public Trust Gallery (previously the Art Prostitute Gallery)

Then we hit the road to the F6 Gallery in Arlington for the Electroshock show.
The whole show was extremely innovative.
Artist created moving parts, glowing pieces, scrolling mesasages, and all around crazy imagery...
definitely a fun time to be had.
